THE Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust is running a survey to gauge the views of fans over using White Hart Lane – or the new stadium – to trail a Bundesliga style Safe Standing plan.
With the atmosphere at the once boisterous Lane under discussion, ticket prices often too high for many fans, and stadium capacity an issue, the trust believe introducing standing areas could be the answer.
In Germany, fans are allowed to stand behind waist-height railings. And with the Taylor Report, that banned standing, now seen as heavily flawed Spurs have said they would be interested in introduce the system – if fans want it. To share your views visit www.surveymonkey.com/s/X9FG2FG.
Meanwhile, Spurs manager Tim Sherwood, who has overseen four wins and a draw since taking over, takes his side to Swansea on Sunday with the news that defender Jan Vertonghen may be fit to play his first game for the new boss.
Fans might be enjoying the start of Sherwood’s reign, but it appears that not everyone is happy at the club.
Etienne Capoue has been linked with a £9m move to Napoli, a switch that might tempt the French midfielder considering his limited playing time since joining Spurs.
Lewis Holtby’s agent, Marcus Noack, has also reportedly suggested that his player could leave the Lane and return to Schalke.
