SPURS will face Arsenal in the Third Round of the Capital One Cup in late September after Tuesday’s draw pitted the rivals against each other.

Spurs coach Mauricio Pochettino called the tie “exciting”, adding: “We know that Arsenal are a very good team, but we’re playing at home so it’s a good opportunity for us and for our fans.”

Pochettino was left cursing his luck on Saturday after his side grabbed a lead away at Leicester City with just nine minutes remaining but failed to hold on to their advantage.

The Foxes equalised within a minute of Dele Alli giving Spurs the lead with a diving header.

Speaking after the match, skipper Hugo Lloris said the team must up their concentration during crucial moments.

“After going 1-0 up we’ve conceded straight away from the kick-off and we really need to improve on that,” he said.

“We knew that after we scored our goal we needed to be focused and strong for the next five minutes, so we are disappointed that we conceded.”

Meanwhile, winger Alex Pritchard could feature in Saturday’s game against Everton  after coming through a 90-minute work out for the reserves on Monday. Pritchard has been on the sidelines all summer after picking up a knee injury playing for England during the Under-21s European Championships.
