SPURS will be looking to net all three points so that they can keep knocking on the door of the top four when they travel to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Midfielder Ryan Mason will have a late fitness test, but Spurs will definitely be without Nabil Bentaleb, who has joined his Algeria team-mates for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Meanwhile the main talking point in the January transfer window so far revolves around a possible swap deal involving Aaron Lennon and Andros Townsend joining West Brom in exchange for Baggies’ striker Saido Berahino.
Former Spur Jermain Defoe is also being linked with a return to the club having left Canadian side Toronto FC.
Another name being tipped to arrive at White Hart Lane is Fenerbahce forward Emmanuel Emenike. The Turkish club say they have turned down an £8million bid from Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, who is keen to sign the 27-year-old Nigerian international.
In other news, Spurs have announced they have chartered a special train for fans ahead of the away leg of the Capital One Cup semi-final against Sheffield United on January 28.
The club have subsidised tickets, which cost £25 return, and the train leaves from St Pancras.
