‘A blatant misogynistic policy implemented by Camden Council which needs to be reversed’

• A COMMUNITY Safety partnership board has heard the report of a survey on “How safe do women feel on our streets?” carried out by Camden Council.

The results showed that only a quarter of the women surveyed felt safe on Camden’s streets, a damning indictment.

It is totally unacceptable for women to have to share toilets with men, particularly toilets situated underground, giving women who feel threatened no place to escape, even if they feel confident enough to enter them in the first place.

This is a blatant misogynistic policy implemented by Camden Council which needs to be both challenged and reversed.
