‘Boris Johnson is making the country prone to losing heart and hope’ 

• THE prime minister appears to be blinded by pride.

That’s understandable after he won an 80-seat majority in the 2019 election and strode into Number 10 pledging to be the leader of “a people’s government”.

Two-and-a-half years later he was fined after being found guilty of breaking lockdown rules that you, I, and everyone else, were obliged by law to obey.

The issuing of Sue Gray’s long-awaited report on “Partygate” revealed further evidence of double standards and irresponsible conduct within the residence of the leader of the
so-called “people’s government”.

He conducts himself in a disreputable way, out of kilter with the code of conduct. Boris Johnson is making the country prone to losing heart and hope. Shame on him and his government for causing that.
