MUSICIAN, writer, composer, lyricist Barb Jungr is singing at the Hampstead Jazz Club on Saturday evening (January 26) accompanied by the club’s music director, Jamie Saffir at the piano. The pair are showcasing brand new arrangements alongside a selection from Barb’s acclaimed 2016 album Shelter from the Storm featuring multi-grammy-award-winning pianist Laurence Hobgood.

COME and sing Handel’s Messiah at University College School on Saturday afternoon/evening (January 26) with the Hampstead Chorus under UCS music director Simon Walton, all in aid of Marie Curie Hampstead. Please bring your own score, ideally Novello edited by Watkins Shaw.

WEST Hampstead violinist Tamsin Waley-Cohen is playing a Venus Unwrapped recital at Kings Place on Sunday evening (January 27). She’s playing Rebecca Clarke’s little-known early sonatas along music by two French composers she admires, Debussy and Lili Boulanger – plus music by Beethoven and Amy Beach.

BELSIZE Baroque is back at St Peter’s Belsize Park under the baton of Bojan Cicic this Sunday evening (January 27) playing music by Vivaldi, Dall’ Abaco, Locatelli, Handel and Muffat.

SIX Windows, a concert supporting upcoming women musicians, is being put on at Burgh House, Hampstead, next Tuesday (January 29) by way of complementing the current exhibition Women in Hampstead. The musicians include accordion folk musician Sophie Crawford; singer-songwriter Maya Kally; young musician Annabelle Van Dort; and singer DAYLA.
