Nick Campbell “The Scientist”

CAPITAL potter Nick Campbell has his sights set on jumping to the top of the cue in the county pool rankings after helping the Central London Blackball ‘A’ team beat rivals Sussex on Sunday.
Nicknamed “The Scientist” because of the amount of spin he can generate on the cue ball, the Swiss Cottage hotshot dominated the table at the Hurricane Rooms in King’s Cross as he won four frames out of four to help seal a convincing 23-13 victory.
Campbell’s cuing success saw him climb to fourth place in the individual standings. But he still has plenty of work to do if he’s going to topple Chalk Farm Pool League rival and county team-mate Chris Heim, who is in top spot in the player rankings.
Not to be outdone, Heim also won all four of his frames to give the Central London ‘A’ team every chance of qualifying for the National finals, which are held in March.
Anyone who thinks they are good enough for a trial should contact county manager Joe Flaherty on 07949 151 235 for details.
