• IT was good to hear the excellent Jill Furmanovsky proposing the use of the old Hampstead police station as a music heritage centre, (News, January 30).

London is crying out for a building where the legacy of the UK’s pop history can be archived, curated and celebrated.

Tourists flock to London to experience the magic of the city where the Beatles, the Stones, the Who, David Bowie, Queen, Elton John, the Clash, the Libertines and so many more lived, gigged and recorded.
