• MUCH has been written in these pages of the CNJ about Landsec’s dreadful proposals to tear down the O2 Centre and Homebase to build 1,800 homes in tower blocks.

And now, finally, after all the so-called “consultations”, the virtually unchanged proposals are to go before Camden’s planning committee on March 30.

I would urge everyone who objects to these proposals to write to each of the 12 councillors who are members of the planning committee, urging them to reject Landsec’s application, even if you have already sent in your objections to the council officer handling the case.

You can find the names of the planning committee members on the council’s website: camden.gov.uk. There will, of course, be a deputation of residents to the committee on March 30.
