THERE was simply no stopping the boys from Sapo Verde on Saturday as they powered their way to victory in the Camden and Islington Youth League Development Cup.

The Under-10s side lived up to their billing as cup favourites as they beat rivals Fusion 2-1 in the final thanks to stunning strikes from Daniel Flynn, 10, and Kian Morgan-Sullman, 9.

Fusion played their part in the fantastic cup contest, with Haziq Kyril, 9, making it 1-1 to set up a pulsating finale, while goalkeeper Leo Sargent, 10, made a string of spectacular saves.

General League Secretary Karen Greene said: “It’s lovely to see different clubs winning the cups. We saw Highbury Wolves win the

Under-8s Cup, Camden Elite the Under-9s, Alpha the Under-11s, and now Sapo Verde triumphing in the Under-10s age group.”
