Sad that free speech on Palestinian human rights should be attacked
Thursday, 16th March 2017
• I AM a regular user of Kentish Town Community Centre (KTCC) and also a supporter of Camden Abu Dis Friendship Association (CADFA).
As such, I was disappointed to hear that KTCC had cancelled CADFA’s long-planned International Women’s Day event with only a few days’ notice.
I understand that there was an objection to Jenny Tonge being a speaker at the event and I wonder if pressure was put on the community centre.
Fortunately another venue was found but how sad it is that free speech on Palestinian human rights should be attacked in this way.
