Sabby Sagall does not appreciate what a conspiracy theory is
Thursday, 16th July 2020
• SABBY Sagall claims that there is well-documented evidence that the Israeli government trained and helped to militarise US police, (The sacking of Long-Bailey will have encouraged the Israeli government to proceed with the annexation, July 9).
Rebecca Long-Bailey and Maxine Peake, who originally tweeted on this subject, have both apologised and withdrawn their tweets.
Anti-Semitism is the oldest prejudice known to mankind and it relies on conspiracy theories to justify its prejudice. The Nazis, for example, claimed that Jews controlled the world while at the same time they were murdering millions of Jews.
It is a pity, when Britain is making an effort to rid itself of prejudice, that Sabby Sagall does not appreciate what a conspiracy theory is and the consequences of spreading it.
Nor, it seems, does the CNJ when it publishes such a letter.
