RYAN FC are within touching distance of a tremendous treble after beating Billericay Town in extra time on Sunday to secure a spot in the Junior Alliance League Divisional play-offs final.
Saviour EJ Gyebi scored a dramatic last-minute equaliser to earn the Under-16s side a second chance as the game finished 1-1 in normal time.
And the super squad, made up of some of the best young talents that Camden and Islington has to offer, didn’t waste it as they went on to net a 3-2 win over their Essex rivals.
Gyebi grabbed his second of the game after shaking off a number of defenders and rifling the ball home.
The advantage, however, didn’t last long as Billericay battled back to equalise.
With both sets of coaches drawing up a list of penalty-takers Noyan Tajbakhsh curled home a delightful 30-yard free-kick to win the tie.
It leaves Ryan just one victory away from adding the Inter-Divisional title to the Eastern Junior Alliance London Championship and the London County Cup that already proudly sit in their trophy cabinet.
