Former councillor Roger Robinson

• NOT only has Roger Robinson been a wonderful councillor, he is also a staunch champion of Somers Town, with a vision of the “Town” as a “Greenwich Village”.

Somers Town owes a debt of gratitude to him; he fought the “Town’s” corner at all levels, from opposing the impacts of large-scale developments to helping a disabled man obtain a ramp.

He got things done, and always with immense kindness, charm and compassion. An old school gentleman.

We want to say thank you to Roger in a small event at the new museum in Somers Town, a cause close to his heart, and one which he has long campaigned for.

Friends and supporters are invited to share their stories with Roger on Friday September 23, 6pm, People’s Museum Somers Town, 52 Phoenix Road, NW1 1ES.
