DIVERS returned on Tuesday to the No 1 Pond on Hampstead Heath for a third week in a row in search of a missing father-of-two.

Robert Duff, from Kentish Town, has not been seen since 2013. His case is now a murder inquiry.

Police began trawling the pond, known locally as the “dog pond”, two weeks ago based on a tip-off.

His daughters Stephanie and Charlotte have watched anxiously from the pond banks each time, and have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Speaking to the New Journal as the first day of the search began Stephanie said: “We can’t move on in our lives without finding out what happened to our dad, we can’t even grieve for him. We just want to find him, and we won’t give up. So we want those out there who know something – and we know someone knows something – to have a heart and come forward.”

Mr Duff was 37 when his family raised the alarm after he did not come to a family meal for Stephanie’s 18th birthday.

He was considered a missing person until 2018 until new information led detectives to believe he was killed.

Anyone with information is asked to call the incident room on 020 8358 0200.
