Roadworks progressing at a snail’s pace
Thursday, 16th May 2019
• YOU published my May 2 letter concerning Camden digging up the road and placing barriers at the junction of Fleet and Southampton roads, (What’s the story with these road works, Camden?).
Alas the barriers are still in place at this busy junction, but a few paving stones have arrived. Does this mean work is in progress? If it does it is progressing at a snail’s pace.
It is now over a month since this work was started. It beggars belief that Camden have little thought of those who are held up at this busy junction, apart from making it dangerous for pedestrians.
Would someone from the highways department please look into this so the work may be resolved this week? This delay is totally unacceptable. I have brought this to the attention of one of the councillors but that doesn’t seem to have helped.
