Roads are like a building site
Friday, 28th February 2020
• FOLLOWING on from four months of traffic chaos during the works at Whitestone Pond which were exasperated by the closure of Branch Hill and temporary lights on West Heath Road we have, following some severe storms and heavy rain, recently seen the reintroduction of the temporary lights by Whitestone Pond.
This is nothing short of scandalous. First the works carried out in the first place were completely unnecessary and resulted in a slightly wider pavement area. Now to see that the first job was carried out sub-standard is unbelievable.
Do these councillors or big-wigs at Transport for London not realise the stress and inconvenience these pointless exercises put on the average civilian just trying to survive?
All roads in Hampstead have been nothing short of a building site for months. Who authorised these works and at whose request?
