Road changes caused more congestion

• AT last someone has come to their senses and opened the road up by the bus stop outside Camden Road Sainsbury’s.

Widening the pavement for Covid-19 was the excuse give for narrowing the road and this excuse has been used for everything for the past 18 months or more.

Making the one-lane roads, especially where buses have to stop, just caused even more congestion. So that experiment was a complete waste of money.

Widening the pavements was a joke because we weren’t meant to be out in lockdown anyway.

As for Euston Road, that really is a disaster. They made a road lane into a cycle lane and the only thing that was in the lane was a mobility scooter whizzing along.

Perhaps that is the answer to avoid the terrible traffic jams constantly in Euston Road since the Covid-19 lockdown.

Yet another one of Camden Council’s and the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan’s bright ideas.
