RESTAURANT operators are lining up a move into the former Truscott Wine Cellar in Belsize Park. Melange, which has a popular bistro in Crouch End and recently opened the Lazy Hunter diner in Kentish Town, has asked for a new licence for the site. The Truscott closed last year after a crippling rent hike at its main bar in Maida Vale. It had opened in Haverstock Hill in 2015, moving in after the famous Weng Wah House restaurant and karaoke room closed.
