Residents do not want their area bisected as a result of a traffic flow plan

Copy of letter to Camden councillors
• I UNDERSTAND that a group, possibly the Camden Cycling Campaign, has recently produced a report purporting to be representative of the views of Dartmouth Park residents and relating to traffic flow in the Dartmouth Park area.
Could I please make clear that, as a resident of the area for over 25 years, I am strongly opposed to the plan – as are many of my neighbours – which would effectively bisect Dartmouth Park, north to south and east to west making any car journey for residents extremely difficult.
The closure of some roads to traffic is also very similar to a plan concocted approximately five years ago by a small number of households in Chetwynd Road and a Camden councillor that was rejected by the vast majority of Dartmouth Park residents.
I wish to make it clear:
– the group in question is not representative of Dartmouth Park residents or any of the residents’ associations’;
– there has not been a representative survey of the proposed plan;
– there has been no debate as to why this is necessary.
A similar plan was rejected very recently by the vast majority of Dartmouth Park residents.
