• IN your news section you reported that Camden Labour candidates proclaimed their Remain credentials and support for EU citizens at the West Hampstead hustings.

However, not only does its party leadership support Brexit, with a second referendum ruled out, but Camden Labour has selected Ranjit Singh for Cantelowes ward, who is both a committed Leaver and senior representative of his local party as chair of its Holborn and Covent Garden branch.

I reference your article published on June 9 2016 in which Mr Singh put his signature to a letter calling on fellow Labour party members to vote Leave.

I urge Camden residents to send a clear message at the local elections on May 3 by rejecting Labour’s hypocrisy and voting for the Liberal Democrats, a party that will unambiguously stand up for their interests on Brexit by supporting a referendum on the terms of exit and campaigning to stay in the European Union.
