THERE is going to be a Reddot resurgence when one of Camden’s most successful amateur football clubs returns to recruit a new generation of young players this Saturday.

Reddot FC were a dominant force in the Camden Sunday League for more than 10 years before the club folded in 2012. But now player/manager Micky Dowsett is turning to youngsters from across Camden and Islington to help him “build a new breed of talented footballers”.

Players aged three to 12 are being invited to join in the launch of the Reddot Academy this Saturday at the UCL Academy in Swiss Cottage.

Micky, who is going to travel down from Ipswich every Saturday morning, couldn’t hide his excitement as he prepares to return to his roots. “I grew up in the heart of Camden, and can’t wait to come home and get started,” he said. “I’m looking for a new crop of enthusiastic young players to help re-establish the name of my old club.”

The launch takes place this Saturday between 1pm and 4pm, all are welcome. Call The Winch in Swiss Cottage on 020 7586 8731 for details.
