Reconsider the decision to close the ticket office at Camden Road

• PROPOSAL to close the ticket office in Camden Road station came as a shock.
This is perhaps the best ticket office in London, where the staff really know their stuff and are totally helpful. In particular I would single out Barbara who is unfailingly patient, friendly and creative.
Her knowledge of the system means that she can find you solutions to ticketing and routing, even when there is disruption, a sadly too frequent reality.
Given that rail fares are astonishingly complex and varied, there is little chance that a non-expert can successfully navigate best routes and best fares just online or at the ticket machines.
I have urged Arriva Rail to reconsider their decision. They should think of their customers, especially those who are older and less familiar with the online life.
