“Nobody knows who the manager is,” she writes. There is an A5 poster on the pillar, as you queue up for the accommodating cashiers, of the manager Mr Shahzad Ali. You can’t miss it.

The noticeboard, far from being defunct as she states, is overflowing with notices! It’s an efficient and clean shop. Is this what she calls liberal values?
