SKIPPER Steve Clark guided Hampstead to a 60-run victory over Richmond on Saturday in the Premier Division of the Middlesex County Cricket League.

Having been put into bat, Mubasher Hassan and Charlie Cooke scored 45 and 41 runs respectively as Hampstead were bowled out for a somewhat fragile score of 220 off 65 overs.

Clark, however, put in one of the best bowling displays of the season to guide Hampstead to a vital win. The club captain took eight wickets at the cost of just 37 runs as Richmond were bowled out for 160.

• In Division Two opener Sam Webber was the big hitter of the day as league leaders North Middlesex secured a six-wicket win over Shepherds Bush. Nick Brand and Ed Bird collected three wickets each as Shepherds Bush were bowled out for 175. North Midd made light work of their total chase with Webber scoring 73 off 83 balls, including two sixes and 10 fours, as they raced to a winning 178-4 within 43 overs.
