RANGY boxer Abdul Rahman used his reach to maximum effect on Wednesday as he tucked another win under his belt on a charity dinner show in Kensington.

Fighting at 67kg, the St Pancras ABC boxer beat Fitzroy Lodge ABC’s Nefer Brisco via a unanimous decision after three two-minute rounds at the Royal Garden Hotel.

The Haverstock pupil, who lives in Bloomsbury, now boasts a balanced record in the amateur ranks, with three wins and three defeats in his six bouts so far.

“Abdul is only 17, and is showing great potential,” said St Pancras head coach CJ Hussein.

“Against Brisco he listened and reacted to all the advice he was given, and put that advice into practise. He used his range well to keep his opponent at bay and didn’t get drawn into a fight.

“If he continues to show the progress we’re seeing right now he could have a tremendous future ahead of him.”
