• Thank you for the obituary of our dear friend and volunteer, Dr Helen Bennett (Pioneer Dr Helen had ‘unique’ understanding of her patients, June 15).

There is a small mistake. Helen did indeed suffer from lymphoedema but she did not set the Lymphoedema Clinic up in the Royal Free Hospital.

It was Mr Santilal Parbhoo MB ChB PhD FRCS (Founder of Cancerkin) who first opened up the Cancerkin Lymphoedema Clinic in a small room in the RFH physiotherapy department in 1989.
