Prosecco, Pringles, or laptops?
Thursday, 8th October 2020
• SURELY when councillors join each other for a virtual event… they can lay off the booze or whatever else floats their boats, (Peeps: Is this a no can do? October 1).
One councillor has appealed that we ratepayers contribute to the funding of educational laptops for school children.
Why don’t our convivial, well-endowed with expenses, councillors pool a portion of their refreshment / attendance / travel costs?
They could surely sponsor one £255 laptop between them if they skipped the prosecco or Waitrose finest Pringles for the odd Zoom council meeting.
