Prom season at St Jude’s promises a mix of jazz, choral music and family friendly concerts

Jacqui Dankworth brings a touch of cabaret on June 26
Tickets have gone on sale online for the Proms at St Jude’s Festival taking place between June 23 and July 1 in Hampstead Garden Suburb.
“Our 2018 musical programme is one of artistry, virtuosity and diversity,” says festival chairman Richard Clegg. “It includes world-class performers, young musicians, jazz and choral music, together with educational and family-friendly concerts.”
Festival highlights
Saturday June 23:
Mozart performed by the Aurora Orchestra with fabulous French pianist Cédric Tiberghien playing Mozart’s piano concerto No 13.
Sunday June 24:
Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro performed by Nevill Holt Opera and Royal Northern Sinfonia.
Monday June25:
Gilbert & Sullivan’s HMS Pinafore performed in a semi-staged Charles Court production with piano accompaniment.
Tuesday, June 26:
Jacqui Danksworth performs jazz-influenced programme including pieces from the Great American Songbook and cabaret songs by Kurt Weill.
Thursday June 28:
Kanneh-Mason Piano Trio playing Beethoven and Brahms.
