Prince Harry – please send money to help the bereavement service here

Thursday, 27th April 2017

• WELL done Prince Harry for being so honest about your problems with bereavement following the death of your mother.

Burying grief often leads to unhappiness and sometimes irresponsible behaviour including actions which hurt others or yourself.

Here at the Bereavement Service in Camden, serving a number of central London boroughs, we have been working for nearly 50 years helping people with exactly this problem.

As Prince Harry says, just talking about it is enormously helpful. All our 50 counsellors offer bereavement counselling in a voluntary capacity and we run an extremely economical service providing some 3,500 sessions each year.

We have saved the National Health Service huge sums and have played a significant part in suicide prevention – some of our clients have been that distressed when they have come to us.

Sadly we have suffered a 25 per cent cut in our NHS funding – why? So Prince Harry can we have some of the funds that you and your family are so brilliantly raising?
