Gates at the edge of the park

• THE stabbings on the Primrose Hill railway bridge add to the body of evidence that the hill must remain open 24/7, (Teens stabbed as crowds were forced out of park in Primrose Hill, August 5).

A lot of crimes occur when people get hyped up. They might not commit the same crime when calm. If people are allowed to remain on Primrose Hill until they get cold and tired they are a lot less likely to commit a crime.

This is an argument constantly made by those who are against gates. What is needed is the occasional police presence on the top to dampen any noisy behaviour.
