THE Central London pool team is still searching for new potting dynamos to strengthen their bid for glory in the County Blackball League.

Featuring some of the best players that Camden and Islington has to offer, the capital’s hotshots are currently busy making their final preparations for the next fixture, a testing away trip to Essex on July 12.

With home fixtures played at the King’s Cross Hurricane Rooms, the Central London set-up boasts opportunities across the table, including senior games, ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ squads and a ladies’ team.

The seniors’ ‘A’ team are the ones to watch so far this season as they sit joint top of the table with two wins out of two, while star player Nicky Campbell tops the player stats as the squad close in on their goal of qualifying for the National finals next year.

The Central London ‘B’ team have also caught the eye, especially during their convincing 29-7 victory over Sussex recently.

Anyone who thinks that they have the skills to add something to one of the squads should call county manager Joe Flaherty on 07949 151235 for details and to book a trial date.

Meanwhile, in the Chalk Farm Pool League, the current champions Sir Robert Peel will meet Holloway Road-based Cousins Elite in the final of the League One Divisional Cup, while the King’s Cross Barbarians will face Boston Old Skool in the League Two Divisional Cup final.
