Holly Lodge tenants have been told not to feed the foxes on their estate
TENANTS have been warned to not put down any form of poison on their estate after alleged reports it was scattered in its communal areas.
People living on the Holly Lodge Estate in Highgate this week received yet another warning letter through the post from the Camden Council after reports that allegedly rat poison had been put down.
This follows a letter from the council earlier this month that told residents they will be in breach of their council housing tenancy agreements if they feed foxes on their estate.
The Town Hall’s most recent message said: “We have received disturbing reports that allegedly rat poison in the form of orange pellets has been put down in communal areas of the estate.
“If the substance is poison, this causes a risk to wildlife and domestic pets. The police have been notified and are investigating.”
It said that officers were writing to remind residents and leaseholders that they “must not put down any form of poison on the estate” and for anyone that becomes aware of this to notify the police
