TWIN toddlers are desperate to be reunited with their beloved dog after she went missing in Gospel Oak.

Arlowe is believed to have scarpered from Courthope Road up onto the Savernake Road railway bridge entrance to the Heath on Friday, May 13, before charging down the railway to Hampstead Heath station where she was spotted sitting on a platform.

The spayed cocker spaniel had just been for a haircut ahead of a family holiday to France – which has since been put on ice.

Owner Holly Clancey, who recently moved to NW3 from Kensal Rise, said: “She is a gentle, amazing, once-in-a-lifetime family dog. Arlowe has been there through everything with us. She has helped bring up these little babies. They are young but they are looking around wondering why she is not there trying to eat the food they drop on the floor. And wondering why we are crying all the time.”

Ms Clancey added: “We used to bring her from Kensal Rise to Hampstead Heath station every weekend, so she would have thought of that as a familiar spot. At first we were terrified he had been hit by a train or was in the tunnel, but Network Rail assure me this hasn’t happened. She is chipped, so if she was run over we would have heard too.

“There had been a few sightings at first but not for a week, so we suspect she has been taken in by someone. We don’t think she will be hiding in the wild. It’s day 11. If someone is keeping her, we just want her back – no questions asked.”
Arlowe is a “feminised” version of the name Arlo.
