• I FULLY endorse your correspondent’s observations on the amplified busking nuisance on the canal, (We don’t want to listen to other people’s music all the time, September 16).

Playing amplified “music” in public in Camden requires a licence – which specifically forbids busking where it “will cause a nuisance or have a negative impact on local citizens”.

It is high time Camden Council enforced its own regulations – and perhaps time also for affected residents to join together and present a united front to the council.
