WHEN Santi Cazorla was asked if he was ready to play, he’d be forgiven for thinking it was Arsene Wenger checking if he’d recovered from an ankle injury.
Instead it was scores of the clubs youngest fans inviting him to the Gunner’s Play Day at the Emirates Stadium on Friday.

The Spanish midfielder joined more than 150 youngsters, aged three or under, and their parents for an action-packed afternoon in north London as they took part in mini-games of football and enjoyed a football-themed bouncy castle.

With the Junior Gunners initiative celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, there was also a birthday-themed arts and crafts area with cup-cakes, party hats, face painting and balloons.

There will be lots more fun events taking place throughout the Junior Gunners’ 30th birthday year. Visit www.alwaysaheadofthegame.com/ junior for details.
