Camden Council’s LGBT+ Champion Rishi Madlani

• I WAS shocked to see Camden Councillor Rishi Madlani dig in as a champion of lobby group Stonewall and dismiss criticism as “demonisation”, (Why we must speak up for Stonewall, February 24).

In fact this is what democracy looks like. People should be standing up to Stonewall’s attempts to scare, confuse and bore people into submitting to their agenda.

Now is a great time for Camden residents to use their democratic rights to ask councillors some questions, such as:

For example, do they agree with Harry Potter author JK Rowling that women-only spaces are important, and no one should lose their job for stating that biological sex is real?

Elections are happening soon. Cllr Madlani and his colleagues will be on your doorsteps. Let’s find out if candidates will stand up for women’s rights, children, and lesbian and gay rights.

Or if they will continue to support the transgender-biased view of equality pushed by Stonewall and their allies.
