The road was closed for six hours while police investigated

A pensioner has been killed by a lorry in Kilburn High Road.

The 74-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision at the junction with Brondesbury Road on Monday shortly before 11am.

He has yet to be formally identified and police are trying to trace his next of kin.

The lorry stopped at the scene and the driver spoke to police. No arrests have been made.
