Peel setting the pace in Chalk Farm Pool League chase

DIVISION One champions Sir Robert Peel remain at the very top of the cue to defend their crown in the Chalk Farm Pool League after picking up an impressive 6-3 victory away at King’s Cross Hawks on Monday.

Second placed Boston Arms are eight points off the pace despite beating Boston Rimmers 6-3, while third place King’s Cross Hurricanes vanquished Cock Tavern 7-2.

The win of the week saw POW Dynamos chalk up an emphatic 8-1 victory against Sovereign.

In Division Two, newcomers the Green Man suffered a shock 6-3 defeat at the hands of Boston Rejects, allowing the Cock Tavern Kilburn to open up a one point advantage at the top of the table.

RPTA climb into third spot with a narrow 5-4 victory against the Gloucester ‘B’ team, leaving the league wide open with just five points separating the top three.
