SIR Robert Peel bounced back from their shock defeat in the Chalk Farm Pool League last week by easing into the quarter-finals of the Liam Tarrant Cup.

The surprising 5-4 defeat against the King’s Cross Hurricanes was quickly forgotten as the division one leaders and cup holders pocketed a 5-1 win over division two strugglers Boston Young Guns on Monday.

Elsewhere, Cousins Elite remain the only second division side left in the competition after they beat Green Man 5-3. There were also wins for King’s Cross Hawks, Peckwater Playboys and the Golden Lion.
