SUPERMAN James Mason helped Peckwater TA’s push for promotion on Monday when he led his team to a vital victory over The Boot in Division Two of the Chalk Farm Pool League.

The heroic skipper (above) won both his singles and doubles matches as the Kentish Town-based side chalked up a timely 6-3 win.

Although Peckwater are unlikely to catch runaway leaders Cousins Elite, the result does leave them in prime position to secure promotion into the top flight.
