PARALYMPIAN Tim Prendergast  joined cheering children for an action packed day of javelin throwing, jumping and slalom events at the Talacre Community Sports Centre in Kentish Town.

The New Zealander (pictured in the back row, far left), who has won a gold and two silver medals in middle distance running events at the paralympics, teamed up with councillor Tulip Siddiq and scores of energetic youngsters to take part in the Camden Inclusive Primary School Indoor Athletics Challenge.

Designed for youngsters with disabilities, the event was organised by Camden Sports and Physical Activity Service and Swiss Cottage School, and run by Camden’s NVQ Sports Trainees.
