A PRIMARY school in Swiss Cottage has received an “outstanding” rating from the education regulator for the first time. Staff at Holy Trinity Primary School said they were “really proud” to achieve these results with their “inclusive and diverse cohort”.
The Ofsted report praised the school’s encouraging staff and broad curriculum, which includes learning about ancient Egypt and Baghdad in history lessons. And pupils enjoy a wide range of visits to places of interest, such as the Tower of London and art galleries.
The report also stated: “Staff work in close partnership with parents and carers, and the community, to deliver the best possible experience for all pupils. For example, role models from the local area visit the school to talk to pupils about their experiences of working in science and technology.
“Pupils have very positive attitudes to learning. The school identifies the needs of pupils with SEND with precision.” It also mentioned that staff felt “very positively” about working at Holy Trinity, and appreciate the “many professional development opportunities on offer”.
Executive headteacher Laura Hall said: “We are thrilled to achieve Outstanding in every area from Ofsted, a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students, supportive community and longstanding staff. This achievement reflects our commitment to providing exceptional education for every child.”
Keeley McCleave, head of school, said: “We are really pleased that all the hard work the team have put into serving our inclusive community has been recognised. We have always been driven by our Christian vision and strive to serve the common good by offering an excellent education to local children.
“Our previous inspection report said ‘Holy Trinity is a small school with a big heart’ and we will continue to be led by our hearts, as this is where our passion for continual improvement is fuelled.”
