Our thanks for the help received on Hampstead Heath

Thursday, 31st October 2024

• THE other day the buggy I was riding on, on Hampstead Heath, conked out, but help was present in the form of a trio of Californian Hong Kongese who pushed me through the mud and telephoned the rangers.

Within a quarter of an hour, the rangers arrived with motor transport to get me to the roads. Not only that, but one of them perceived that the battery had cut out and reconnected it so that I didn’t really need help to the road.

The rangers are known, but the trio remain anonymous. If you could let it be known to all these, through your pages, how grateful my wife and I are to have been so selflessly rescued by these totally unknown people, we would be very grateful to you for it.
