I HAVE to make a confession, I’m not a football fan. 

But this season is the first time I’ve been really interested, and I’ve been turning to the sports pages before the news when I buy a paper. 

Sports writers are looking at what Leicester and Tottenham are doing at the top while all those teams with massive budgets and expensive players, who cost them a fortune, are languishing down the table. 

This season football has become interesting again as sports writers look at why teamwork pays off rather than having all these stars.

There are some really interesting discussions going on. People are starting to remember what football was meant to be about. 

But not Richard Osley (Score Blimey…) – oh no. He’s in a mega strop. He just wants to throw his toys out of the pram and whinge that Tottenham might win. 

Well they might. And they might not. But is that the best you can do Richard? Yap on about Tottenham and the last time they won? 

Can’t quite believe you spun that one out for a whole third of a page, but you did. Call yourself a sports writer? This is a fascinating season and it will affect football for ever.

Yes, we know you hate Tottenham. Yawn. Grow up Richard! You’re a sports writer! All this sulking and sour grapes is just boring. Get a life!
