ARSENAL won’t be the only club from Islington celebrating silverware this summer. 

The Essex Road Giants (above) scored a whopping 78 goals in 18 games as they fired their way to the title in the Under-14s Division of the Camden and Islington Midweek Youth League.

The unbeaten side won 16 and drew two of their league games, finishing 11 points clear of their closest rivals. 

Jubilant squad players were all cheers and smiles when they turned up to collect their prize at Market Road – especially after being joined by the younger club-mates, who finished runners-up in the Under-13s division.
