• TO turn an empty police station into a police station, that sounds like a cryptic crossword puzzle, (How about reinstating it as a police station!, April 22).

I do remember the Rosslyn Hill front counter, that’s where I was first on duty when I joined the MPVs (Met Police Volunteers).

I loved it. Then the base was shut and I was sent to another place. I soon made friends with the horses of Fortune Green and forgot about Rosslyn Hill.

Reopening the old base should seriously be considered. That would be a good deed. Members of the public are getting used to online reporting but many still prefer to talk to “a visible person”.
