LEAGUE leaders Clerkenwell Old Boys kicked off their 2015 campaign in commanding style at the weekend when they eased to a 3-1 victory over Dinamo Dorigo in division two of the Camden Sunday League.

Led by man-of-the-match Tom Salvoni, Clerkenwell completed a league double over Dorigo thanks to two well-taken goals from Dean Francis and a clinical finish from Frankie Chandler.

The result leaves them level with Islington rivals Highbury Town on 23 points, but top of the table courtesy of their superior goal-difference.

FC Lotus, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Chalk Scratchings on Sunday, are also in the mix as they’re just one point behind the joint leaders, but crucially boasting games in hand over their title rivals.
