• IT is understandable that punks are being dispersed from Camden Town, (Punk block! Anger at bridge ban, October 21).

After all the authorities have to safeguard all of those features that made Camden Market such an attraction for tourists from all over the world.

And what they travel all this way to see is a clean, regimented and highly regulated environment unblemished by oddballs and riff-raff.

Maybe a rebrand is necessary to salvage this north London gold mine. And how about renaming it Stepford Lock?
