NW5 won all 10 games and scored 106 goals in the Premiership of the North London Power Play League

A TALENTED team of young footballers from Kentish Town have snapped up silverware in style after scoring an invincible season in a highly sought-after five-a-side competition.

NW5 Youth Team won all 10 of their games in the Premiership of the North London Power Play League, which takes place every week at Haverstock School in Chalk Farm.

And while a new campaign is already underway, the now defending champions will forever take to the pitch with a fierce reputation having finished a season with a maximum 30 points, scoring a staggering 106 goals along the way.

There was also an extra trophy for hotshot Harry Murtagh, who topped the goalscoring charts after hitting the back of the net 28 times – taking the “top scorer” award off his teammate Nathan Jobbins-Mandla, who won it the previous season.

Sharley Peet-Newitt, manager at the NW5 Project in Kentish Town, said: “We’re so proud of all our young people who take part weekly, showing resilience and commitment throughout while playing a sport they love.”
